Welcome Rose Funerals Ltd is owned and managed by the Thomson family. It is one of only a handful of truly independent Funeral Service companies in the North East of England.

About Us
The business originally started as a Memorial Masonry business and then due to the customers asking Jamie Thomson, who is the BRAMM Accredited Mason if he could offer Funerals, the company of Rose Funerals Ltd was then born. Jamie comments "The customers kept saying to me over the years that we were so good with families in grief that we should offer the whole Funeral package. After discussions with the rest of my family we agreed this would be a good idea and decided to take over a larger business unit and make it into a Funeral Home.

Our Services Rose Funerals boasts one of the most up-to date, innovative and customer friendly premises at it's base in Cumberland Road, Linthorpe Village, Middlesbrough. It has one of the largest Memorial Showrooms, a room where you can see new coffins and a modern and family friendly feel to the premises, making it often described as homely.

The team at Rose Funerals Ltd consist of Jamie Thomson the Funeral Director and registered Mason, Julie Thomson, Ross Thomson, Brian Thomson and Paula Maddison Green. All work together to ensure your Funeral is totally individual to both your needs and financial circumstances.

Rose Funerals offers Cremations, Burial and ashes scattering services. They have celebrants and humanists as well as work closely with all of the churches and denominations across the Teesside area. You can see a range of ashes jewellery and urns at their premises, headstones, memorial stones and vases. We also have a chapel of rest.

What To Do Here at Rose Funerals it is our role to help you deal with the death of a loved one; it may be something you have never had to do before. We are very compassionate funeral directors, based in Middlesbrough, helping you through all of the funeral arrangements at this difficult time. Many people find that they are unsure of what to do in order to settle the affairs of the deceased. The purpose of this page is to give you basic guidance at a very emotional time. Report the death to the registrar. You can do this if you are: A relative Someone who was present at the time of death A hospital administrator Making arrangements with the funeral director Take the medical certificate showing the cause of death to the doctor. If the cause of death is unknown, sudden or unexplained, it may need to be reported to the coroner. The times in which we operate Our current opening times are 9am until 5pm, however we also offer viewings around these times to suit families. It is not uncommon for us to open on a weekend for viewings to allow the family time to pay their respects and say good bye to their loved ones. In short we are available 24 hours a day.
